Johanne Brunet
Johanne Brunet is an Associate Professor of Marketing at HEC in Montreal. As well, she is on the Board of Directors of la Société des alcools du Québec, Vivavision International and le Théâtre du Rideau Vert. Previously, she served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the Academy of International Management, London, England, Poles Production & Communication Limited, England, American Intercontinental University, London, England and Fairfax University
From 2001 to 2003, Dr. Brunet was an Executive Vice-President, Distraction Formats. Prior to that from 1999 to 2001, she was the Senior Vice-President at TV5 – Americas and from 1982 to 1998, she held various posts at Société Radio-Canada, including Director of Independent Production and Acquisitions, Production Manager of Youth Programming, Director of Planning (CBC Enterprises- Programme Sales) and Chief of Staff to the President (Ottawa).
Before taking up her positions at Radio-Canada, from 1976 to 1983, she worked at the CBC, where she had various jobs, including Director of Human Resources, TV News Producer, Programme Administrative Agent of Current Affairs, and in Vancouver, Assistant to the Regional Manager.
Dr. Brunet has published widely and has given a number of seminars and presented papers at various conferences. She has received a Doctor of Business Administration (Honoris Causa) from Fairfax University in the United States and she was the Lauréate 1999 of l’Action femmes d’affaires, Chambre de commerce de Montréal.
