Josiane Boulad-Ayoub
Josiane Boulad-Ayoub is a member of the Royal Society of Canada and Honorary Editor of its publications. She is Professor in Modern Philosophy at the Université de Québec à Montréal and holds The UNESCO Chair in Political Philosophy and Philosophy of Law. She is also Coordinator of the AUF program Philosophy and Law for North America. A former President of the Canadian Philosophical Association and of the Société de philosophie du Québec, she is editor in chief of three collections (Mercure du Nord, DIKÉ and Verbatim) in philosophy, law and social sciences at PUL (Presses Universitaires de Laval). Dr. Boulad-Ayoub is the author of many books, articles and essays, and has presented papers in international forums on modern and political philosophy and on the French Revolution. She has also organized several virtual seminars on democracy and development in Africa and in South America for students in those countries.
