Marie-France Giroux

Marie-France Giroux is an attending physician at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Montréal (CHUM) and the Montreal Cardiac Institute, where she specializes in vascular and interventional radiologist. She was trained as a radiologist at the University of Montreal and then sub-specialized in interventional radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and in doppler in Bordeaux, France.

Dr. Giroux is also a professor at the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Medicine, and has been the teaching director and fellowship program director in vascular and interventional radiology since 2001. In her medical practice, her main interest at the CHUM is teaching but she is also involved in a number of research projects. She has given many invited talks and has an extensive publishing record, including articles, book chapters, and poster presentations.

She is a member as well as the treasurer at the Clinique de radiologie Léger et associé, board member of the Société des Radiologistes du CHUM and a board member of the Société des Sciences Vasculaires du Québec. In addition, she was a board member for many years as well as the president in 2007 – 2009 of the Canadian Interventional Radiology Association.
