Patricia M. Baranek
Patricia M. Baranek is an independent health policy and research consultant and is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. Her background includes research, planning, evaluation, and administration in both the academic and the provincial and federal government sectors. Her areas of expertise include health care financing, health services delivery, health care policy, organizational theory and behaviour, health human resources, and home and long-term care. Within the Ontario Government, she has held management positions in the Ministries of Health, Citizenship, and Intergovernmental Affairs. She has a Ph.D. in Health Administration and an M.A. in Criminology from the University of Toronto and is widely published in both fields. Her volunteer work includes homelessness in Canada and abandoned children in Kenya.
