Elizabeth Gagné

Elizabeth Gagné is a second-year student at McGill University, majoring in International Development Studies and minoring in International Relations.  In May 2010, she planned a humanitarian mission to Kenya and interned for a month with KICOSHEP, a Kenyan NGO who works with people living with HIV/AIDS.  There, she gave presentations on public and reproductive health, and wrote a proposal for funds to start a palliative care program with Altarum Institute.  In 2009 she helped organize a humanitarian mission to Senegal, with the Mbour nursery.  She spent two weeks in March 2009 interning in Switzerland thanks to Carrefour-Suisse, where she visited Non-Governmental Organizations and International Organizations such as the UN and the WTO, and studied the Swiss political system. Elizabeth has travelled extensively to Europe, South America, and Africa, and would like to continue doing so by working for the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
