Applicants for current or future AHED or AHED/AUF placements should download the application forms in respectively, the pdf or doc formats below, fill them out, and follow the directions connected to the two forms. Before filling out either application form, please read the qualification’s page and make sure that you meet the conditions to be an AHED volunteer.
Joint Placements
For joint placements, an applicant must qualify for service with AHED and the application will then be reviewed by our partners. Applicants for AHED/AUF placements, who are not retired, must be current faculty members at institutions of higher education that are members of AUF. This does not apply to retired applicants, who need not be academics nor connected to institutions of higher education that are members of AUF. Applicants for AHED/AUF projects must be francophones.
Future Placements
If you wish to be considered for future placements, you should complete the short application form (doc), save it to your computer using your name as the file name, and send it to inquiry ( at ) ahed-upesed.org along with your curriculum vita as attachements. Your application and CV will be put in a data base and we will contact you when positions become available that fit your qualifications. If you are interested in the placement, you will be asked to full out the long form of the application. The information in the short form of the application and your CV will be kept confidential, except for the starred information in the application, which with your permission, will be displayed on our web site and used for funding purposes.

To apply for a position posted on the projects page, complete the application form (pdf), save it, and send it as an attachment to inquiry (at) ahed-upesed.org along with a copy of your C.V. and a statement of interest.
AHED is committed to respecting the privacy of volunteers, Board and Advisory Council members, donors, and visitors to our web site by acting in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Relevant information about volunteers is shared, as requested, with partners and funding agencies involved with particular projects, and with host institutions in the developing world to which a volunteer is a potential service provider.
